GPX Racing not to compete in the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans

16 cars competed in the GT category in the Asian Le Mans Series, which finished on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. The first four in the classification obtained an invitation to take part in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans provided they confirmed their entry before today, Tuesday 23rd February at noon. GPX Racing finished the championship in second place scoring two victories so it was concerned by this opportunity. However, the team will not contest the greatest endurance race in the world this season.

Pierre-Brice Mena, Team Principal: “Le Mans is still one of GPX Racing’s objectives, but as things stand at present, we feel that we don’t have the right package. It would be a hasty decision that would not allow us to be at the start in the kind of conditions we desire. There are too many unknowns to plan the project in keeping with our standards. Quite simply, it’s not the best moment. We’re convinced there will be other opportunities so we still have to be a little patient!”

Rendezvous in the near future to discover GPX Racing’s sporting programmes in 2021.
